Dr. Kwan is a Periodontist - a dental specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of problems affecting the gum and bone around your teeth.
His Method involves endoscopy which he uses to "see" exactly what areas are affected. tthe attached router is then directed towards the damaged areas avoiding the traditional surgical technique that most Periodontists use.
The only follow up is having him do a thorough periodontal cleaning 3 times a year, And of course you should brush, floss and use a water pick regularly. If possible use a "sonicare' type brush.
This method may be considerably preferable to having sections of gums removed.
